African Hunting Books on Tape?
Anyone know if anything good is available? I have a long drive to Montana and Wyoming ahead of me.

Check Amazon.com; if anyone has them, they would.

For a non-hunting book on tape, get "Gates of Fire". It is the story of Leonidas and his 300 Spartans at Thermopylae. Excellent tape.

Ann,
If you will PM me with a mailing address I will send you "Into Africa - the search for Livingston". I'm finished with listening to it and you do not have to send it back.

I listened to it in Tanzania last month. It is an interesting look into the old Africa (now Tanzania and Zimbabwe)and its customs as well as the history of the search.

ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Try Karen Blixen's "Out of Africa", the book as an audio book, not the Hollywood movie.

Not a hunting book but very good listening.

See this earlier thread for details.
