I have faced a charging cow elephant, bull cape buffalo and a very large bull bison. The scariest was the bison. I was lucky that there was an eight foot woven wire fence between us. He bent the metal post to less then a 45 deg. angle. By that time I was back in the car trying to get a cigarette to find my mouth.

CHEERS!

Well there was an Australian water buffalo fighter. Well he was for about 30 seconds and if you consider hiding under a light truck a stlye of fighting Big Grin
Seriously the buff ducked its head and lifted the back wheels to look for him. When he scrabbled out the buff killed him.

As to the comments quoted by wells or whoever it was above, I would not disagree these bulls are a fine fighting animal but would have a hard time beleiving they killed elephant fair and square.
