I have read those before; heck, I'm so old I think I still have that issue here somewhere.

I admire Jack's contribution to the big bore world, but I believe I'll just stick with my old Searcy .470 NE double if y'all don't mind.

Good thoughful articles but I was wondering was he coming to the conclusion about the magazine rifle because the doubles he saw and used where old and mechanically unreliable?
