I just searched Amazon.com for 'Adventures with Walter' by Saeed. Couldn't find a copy anywhere. Is it out of print already? Just like the things on ArBay, if you don't stay on line 24/7, the one item you need will be gone before you know it's there.Smiler

Just finished Wayne Grant's "Into the Thorns" and William York's "Out in the Midday Shade." Both are good books and I really enjoyed "Into the Thorns." I also enjoyed David Hulme's "Shangaan Song."

Probably will start next on "Months of the Sun" and have ordered "Mahohbo."

"Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult."

Ivan,
Maybe you could use some of your airplane time to write your own book. I suspect you have more than enough experiences to fill up one volume.

ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

My favorite, and an annual re-read, is Horn of the Hunter by Ruark. Ruark hits a note with me. I love his humor, his embellishments, and the actual happenings. He was a great writer, not just a hunter who happened to write. Not to mention the one greatest line ever written about the "hunter".

Boddington's Safari Rifles is a great reference book, and used on a regular basis to help customers compare calibers and gun choices.

I like Scruffy's books, he's "one of our own" and he's funny to boot!
