HighbrassI hunted with Charlie Campbell in the Campfire area Martin Pieters currently has in 2007. His staff which suppored us while there was attentive and the camp was very nice on lake Kariba. Buffalo were plentiful and average was about 40". I have corresponded with Martin about other items and he has been very responsive. Don't know if it helps but if you need specifics just send a PM and I will try and answer the best I can.

zzzI haven't hunted there in years, but my PH in Omay South said that he is doing good things there.

GanyanaMartin is a good lad. The hunting there can be hard, but some of the biggest buff in the last 10 years to come out of Zim have come from there. (there have been some real scubbers taken of course with lazy PH's or clients who couldn't walk - Oh sorry not alowed to say that)

Bill CMatt, I will be hunting with Martin this year in Omay North, and have heard nothing but good things, including from Ganyana. As with most of the Valley and surrounding areas, in a typical year the bush will be thick early in the season (March-May) but begin to thin thereafter, and the water holes dry up making locating buffalo spoor easier. Later in the season it can be hot (Oct-Dec). For this hunt I generally like June-August in Zim but would go whenever schedules permit.
"Scubbers" - another new Zimbo term, where do you guys come up with these?

ozhunterSeptember seems to be good, but in May the Buff would have had a little less pressure from tracking hunters.
A Few buff from this area.
