Anyone have Exp with Montana Long or PH Actions?
I've made the decision to move forward with a .404 Jeffery build out.
I am leaning strongly towards building on the Montana Long Action or perhaps their PH action in stainless.

Any feedback on these actions would be greatly appreciated.

I've made a .404 on a 1999 long magnum action designed for the .375 H&H. It feeds without alteration and I attached Montana's #5 barrel as well.

Here's some photos:

Does the PH action actually exist?

maybe but I doubt it.....I think it's still waiting for a minimum number of orders.....

There's been much talk but very little walk on this so called PH action.

The long action will do just fine! John Ricks has the two I bought, a left and a right for 404 Jeffery. I opted for the Lothar-Walther heavy sporter barrel. Montana's barrels were not .423 as I recall.

Just await'n.
