Don HeathTerry Car gets 42" Buff
News came over the radio this morning that Terry - who is hunting in Dande with PH Kevin Du Boil got a 42" Buff yesterday.
Don't have any more details, but will undoubtably see the picks in a weeks time. He will also tell you I was wrong in my prediction that a cold front was blowing in and the valley wouldn't be too hot. It has been high 80's and 90's since he got here

Not bad for mid winter!

Bill CExcellent

Now all he needs is that sable!

bwanamrmFantastic...good for Terry and if that sable measures 42" the red gods of the hunt will have smiled on him! Hope things fall into place!

N'gagiBu Boil is a great guy. I shared a camp with him in Chewore. He volunteered to go to the Zambia fish camp and try to negotiate the return of my hippo that we suspect washed over there.
They were eating one, but couldn't explain how they got it.

Mark,
Tell everyone how you SCARED THE SH_T out of Kevin and most of the other PH's in camp with your little gag. I still bust up everytime I think about it.
I met Kevin briefly in camp as well and he came across as a great guy and very knowledgeable PH.

N'gagiThat was a MOST EXCELLENT gag, and I have had requests to bring MORE next year!
One day Mike Payne and I were out in the Rover and I asked if his son liked lizards and snakes and things? He said yes, and that he wanted to get an aquarium to keep a pet lizard in. That's when I reached into my pack and pulled out one of those little brown envelopes that has the picture of a striking rattlesnale on it, with the letters, "WARNING-RATTLESNAKE EGGS. KEEP COOL AND DRY TO AVOID HATCHING"
Inside it was a little wire contraption with a rubber band and a metal washer. You wind the thing up and put it inside, and when the victum opens the end to look inside, it flutters like crazy and scares the crap out of you.
I handed it to Mike and said, "Shit, I probably should have left these in the cooler. they've been in my pack for three days."
Mike replied, "My god, what were you thinking bringing those bloody things over here? THAT'S all we need is bloody rattle snakes all over the place. We must burn them this evening."
I acted hurt, and said, "well, don't you at least want to see what they look like?"
His head hit the roof and he was half way out the window before the thing stopped buzzing. Of course he got the trackers, the guys in the skinning shed, Ian Gibson, and finally Kevin, who was already in bed when Mike handed him the envelope and siad, "look what that idiot client of mine brought over here"
It's going to be hard to out do, but I'll think of something.

bwanamrmMark,
As the old saying goes "we must be brothers from another mother!". I pulled the same stunt on the cook at camp in Alicedale, RSA. Needless to say we were quite amused... she wasn't. By the way, Immodium eventually cured whatever bug she introduced into my system... not really, she actually was pretty cool with it after chasing all the PH's out of the kitchen... but playing a prank on the cook is not smart. Since we set her up, I was able to take a picture of the event.

CunninghamI must have one of those. Where can I get one before my trip in September? Don't tell me at the local gag store because I am in a very small town in Texas.
No not the 42" Buff, I know where to get those.
I mean the rattlesnake gag thing.
