according to the hunting reports this morning doug scandrol has the honor of being the first member of dsc to be expelled for life

Glad to see DSC is willing to take a stand like this.
S&S Safaris was the 1st safari company that I reseached for my 1st safari. Thankfull, they did not fill the bill.

Any more info than he was just expelled? I am not familiar with him or his operation.

Very old news now and has been posted on before. Yes, he was expelled. He has screwed many people in the past including me. He is also very sick at this time as well.

Doug Scandrol, is ,or was, a very capable PH who led a lot of people to some of the best lion, buffalo, and leopard trophies I’ve ever seen. That being said, I have no idea what the cause of his expulsion by SCI and DSC is, but certainly must be unethical hunting and/or business practices!

I have a couple of Doug’s films that were a catalyst that had me thinking about booking with him, for a buffalo and lion safari a few years ago. However I’m now thinking that may have been a mistake from the luxury of hindsight!

To be sanctioned for a period till a safari company gets it’s act together, is one thing, but IMO to be expelled for life would indicate an irreparable breech of honorable conduct! I assume we will get details at some future date!
