The national CITES export quotas for 2012 were updated for Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Jamaica, Madagascar, Mozambique and Viet Nam. The new quotas can be found HERE.

Thought it was 80 before..now 90.

Correction..it is 100 now from Mozi..I must have been looking at Namibia.

I rememember when Mozi first opened in Tete back in 1990 the quota was 20. Then as new areas opened it was 40..60..80..now 100.

I predict in 10 years time Mozi will be pushing 200 ele quota and US imports allowed.

I predict there will still be elephant hunting in Botswana in 2013 and beyond...dont know about any other species in concessions and communal areas...but elephants YES.
