Eric, yea, called "Mugundumu Safaris", Ron Oliver (who books for them) is who posted this. The PH's are all serving parks officers.

Just out of interest ...

Is this a (government owned company) or governemnt party officials whom own the company offering the hunt ....

OR is it a bona fide totally non=government owned (private hunting outfitter) whom is offering the hunt ?

Parks need to wake up and smell the coffee. Two operators have trophy bull hunts now at 12k including Dayly rates!

Ganyana,

I guess there is a lot more to your post than what you said about the coffee. Not having your background on all this I don't really follow what you are saying. Could you explain?

Mark

Been away Wink

My previous post was as much to help Ron as market the others- Parks (Mugundumu) run a good operation in a very good area for ele's. Nice camp and not too much trouble now the rains have started- but - parks politics say that the officer running the operation (Elekson Ndlovu) doesn't have a free hand. It is late in the year, they still have quota, they will blame Elekson if the animals are not sold- but will not let him drop the price enough to compete.

Hwange Safaris- Just to the south in Deka has two elephant left and want about 18k including trophy fees (of which 13k goes to parks).

Some of the operators in areas with a poorer average trophy quality and/or poorer accomodation are cutting corners even further - Chapungu had one left a week ago, and was prepared to make a small loss to ensure the animal was shot rather than go to bed with quota that has to be paid for anyway!
