Aspen Hill AdventuresI'm not sure I agree on all of what is in the video. The first elephant shown is a classic frontal. Back end collapses first then head and trunk up. Classic!
Jeff says the Okavango is the only place for ele's. Well we all know that good elephant can be found and hunted over much of southern Africa.
His second 'old bull', goes fairly straight down in my eyes. The trunk does not fly up and the rear end is only
slightly faster down than the rest of it. It's a huge bodied elephant for sure but I would be hesitant to run up on that one like Jeff does.
Still, very good hunts but if I had the money to hunt in Botswana it would be with Calitz.

yukon deltaI was talking to a well-traveled hunter today (you know who you are) who stated that Rann's hunts are the most expensive in Africa. I suppose that's how you pay for custom H&H Royal grade .577's, etc.

rholdenThat was an awesome video. The second elephant was shown on an episode of SCI's Expedition Safari a while ago. In it he mentioned having 2 doubles, I believe both Holland's. I have a friend who knows him who said one was given as a tip. This info is 3rd hand, but seems like a hell of a tip.

yukon deltaDid you know that his daily rate DOUBLES if he is your PH? Plus you pay about $350 daily in concession fees...plus there is a 15% surcharge. All of that before you shoot anything. You literally pay about 3k a day to hunt with Jeff not counting tips. Oh, don't forget that all licenses are paid in full in ADVANCE in Bots...and there is no refund on game not taken.
