May/June Issue of Sports Afield
The new Sports Afield has a lot of good stuff in it. For one thing it's the hunting rifles issue. Don't miss page 43. It's a full page on Marc Watt's moutain nyala.

Yes, I saw that, and what a fabulous trophy!! And Marc's hunt for that trophy, and Craig Boddington's comment on Marc's trophy, really tell it all.

That issue also has a fine short article on the .475 Turnbull By Kevin Robertson!

This took place at Monty Kalogeras's safari shooting school www.safarishootingschool.com in Texas. The DRSS was also invited to attend this shooting fest, as we were on one of our anual Wild boar hunts at 4K ranch near by.

Kevin, and Turnbull did some critiqueing of the .475 Turnbull cartridge, to make it legal for Buffalo, and elephant in Africa. Everyone was impressed with this cartridge, and many of our double rifles were used to compare the handleing qualities of the Turnbull rifle! A good read, and I for one look forward to more from Kevin on this cartridge in the lever, and also in other rifles as well, in future!

Sports Afield has become a fair magazine in the last couple of years, and I find myself looking forward to the next copy! thumb
