China is already busy with a under cover process of invation if you really have to start looking at the chinese populations in the Southern Africa countries.

I was in Kampala the day in '85 Obote was overthrown for the second time and had some hairy experiences in Congo Brazzaville and the then southern Sudan back in the day.Rampaging Zimbabwe masses are all about looting flatscreens and if you stay in the bush or indoors for a day or two all will be well.The real threat of civil war comes AFTER a transition to democracy, not during. Don't let the rumors put you off - think of the stories you'd have to tell!

I'd agree whole-heartedly, but it will only be out of rabbits when he breathes his last and not before.He's the quintessential political survivor, and even if he's tired he keeps his own party in line as much with patronage as anything else and his underlings won't be too happy about moving away from the trough.So the path of least resistance for them is to prop him up, not challenge him just yet. He probably asked for a little more time than Faust did when he made his deal.

I received two interesting personal e-mail responses to this article from one very well placed Zim PH and his SA brother who is ex-SA Air Force...they are offering their condolences to us in the US with our Bummer WH Party and dysfunctional Congress...we may be in more jeopardy than ZIM!!...especially with Russia and China now testing Mettle in Syria!!

Just like us Obnoxious Americans to offer unwanted advice on how to fix the worlds problems. I think that Zimbabwe is going to be open up for business in a big way agriculturally. Look at the success farmers are having in Northern Botswana. Companies like Monsanto have sales reps in Kenya and RSA already and soon farmers in Zim will be able to purchase drought and herbicide resistant seeds. It may also be that farmers can get proper heavy equipment with out paying a 100% import tax to the government. I am optimistic in a positive way for the future of Zimbabwe.

Whoever follows Mugabe will take the predictable "Now it is my turn" approach to government.
