BaxterBWestley Richards 10 Round Open Cartridge holder
Was wondering if any of you blokes had one for 375 and could tell me how much of the round sticks above the leather. MOst of the ones I see for sale the head of the round is nearly flush and I need more of the brass exposed to grab instead of pinch the round out.
Thanks, Baxter

LionHunterLewis & Drake has their 10 round leather cartridge carrier on 50% sale. Helluva deal at $45. I like the flap for keeping dirt, mud and assorted crud off the cartridges (sunshine also). I have two of these and hunt with the flap unhooked.
http://www.drake.net/products/...ridge-Pouch?id=26098I had a WR 10 round holder for a 470. I no longer have it or the rifle but quite a bit of the cartridge was exposed above the leather. Just from memory I would say 1/4 to 1/3.

JudgeGJeff Wemmer who posts here has a company that makes military grade web gear for our armed forces and others. He also is a safari hunter and has developed a line for Africa through his
Texas Hunt Company.Jeff was kind enough to send me some prototype cartridge belts, ammo pouches, etc., to try out several years ago when he was developing his line of Africa stuff. I took it to the Selous and had to ransom my departure with it because I don't think the PH would have let me on the charter if I hadn't given it to him.
I love the stuff, but beware that you'll have to buy more if you take it to Africa. Two more PH's are wearing what I took over there. I just made my third order for pouches, belts, gaiters, etc.
Good, good stuff and unbelivablely tough.
BTW, the cartridge belts have room for the brass to stick up and are spaced well so you can get your finger and thumb between rounds to easily remove them.
Click on
Texas Hunt Company. You won't be sorry.

DeerdogsHi Baxter.
I own the WR 10 round 375 open top cartridge holder and I have used it in the field. I works fine and looks great too. The depth of the pockets is 60mm, which means that there is plenty of brass sticking out when using 375H&H.
