I love the use of the word "shit" in the warning - never have seen that in an Alaskan warning about bears!

Original was about bears -- hence berries. Bears exhibit territorial behavior if they have cubs, or when you surprise them while they're feeding -- hence the idea of not "surprising" them. Dassies are an African addition.
