Buffalo Hunt in SA Provincial Park
I have a trophy hunt availabe for a buffalo bull in Tussen die Riviere ("Between 2 rivers") provincial park. The Caledon and the Orange rivers forms 2 natural boundaries to this 40 000 acres reserve. A hunter is likely to shoot a bull in the over 40 inch class. No other game can be hunted in the reserve while hunting the buffalo. The package includes pick up from airport, drive to park, 7 days hunting, services of a certified DG PH, accomodation, food & drinks, buffalo trophy fee, field preperation of the trophy, dip and pack of the trophy. Total cost for above is US$ 12 000. Other game can be hunted before or after the buffalo, on other land, at negotiated rates. For more info, contact me on karl@huntingsafaris.net or via PM.

Karl, I hunted there in 02 on my first safari with William Botha. It was a very nice place to hunt. Is Franswore ( spelling ) still the managener?

Hi Donato

I know Willem very well. Francois was still the manager last year. Yes, it is a very enjoyable place to hunt, and a prime spot.

I experienced my only "buffalo charge" here in 2001 (1st trip to Africa). Not much of a charge really, we were hunting plainsgame the PH (Theo Fourie) and I were about 50-yards from the truck filming the buffalo, and the bull came at us from about a hundred yards away. He stopped short, but it was then I first realized I only had to outrun one guy! Big Grin

Nice area, lots of animals, recall it being a long, narrow tract of land. I do recall seeing fences as some of the main roads follow the fence line, but it is large especially by SA standards. They had an incredible game processing facility there, and had culled about 20 eland plus springbok including some very nice ones which was a shame.

Pls post some picts if you sell the hunt.

Mario, they (parks board/ provincial administation) allow hunting in these parks on a rotational basis. Currently, they allow hunting every other year. There were also some plains game packages available for this park for this year, but they have unfortuneately been sold. If someone is interested in combining this buff hunt with PG, I will make them a great deal outside of the park, on private land.
