Any good safaris left for 2009?
Two of the camps I was going to book with have now been booked for 2009, and I am not in the book. Any recommendations for a 10 day 6 animal safari for two hunters? Thinking mostly of RSA, but will consider others.
Thanks

We still have some good spots open for this year in prime time. We have a lot of groups that is coming in so we are not fully booked on dates yet.

For 2009 you have a good choice in dates that are still open.
Have a look at this special we are currently running for AR members.

I always try to use enough gun but then sometimes a brainshot works just as good.

Poo- There seems to be lots left, all across the spectrum maybe due to the US economy.

Contact John Harris - 500Nitro - on this forum and see what he has available. He has a great concession in Kwa-Zulu Natal. I think his website is www.southernafricansafaris.com
I know his web address is in his signature line on his posts...
Good luck.

Poochuss,

Actually there are openings in '09 for almost any type of hunt anyone would want. Every hunt does not have multiple openings but at this point anyone should be able to find the hunt they need if they can be a little flexible.

Try Huntley Ferreira safaris in the Limpopo provence of S. Africa they really do a good job and will almost certainly have something in 09 and if You are flexible to some extent maybe this year as well. Call or PM and I will help you get in touch.

I mean no disrespect to any booking agents that post here... but every time I see a post like this it reminds me of a high school chearleader at the after-prom party hollering "I'm so drunk......" Wink

Acer,

I'm just a booking agent and I'm not really clear on what your post implies. Are you implying that you do not like to see agents offering hunts here? If a hunter posts a question about what hunts are available who better to answer his questions than a booking agent. Booking agents generally know about a great variety of available opportunities where an individual hunter may only be familiar with the people he has hunted with or heard about from a buddies.

Safari Trackers is actively booking hunts in 10 different African coutries and I've hunted 8 of them. It only seems appropriate that sharing that expereince on AR is beneficial to the site and of course it is approved by Saeed himself.

Confused,

Mark

Just to throw my hat in the ring, I’ve got some farms in Ghanzi, Botswana that need hunters.

As an aside, any time I've asked questions of booking agents on the forum, I've been given good information without a "hard sell." At some "International Sportsmen's" things, hard sell was the name of the game. I think most, if not all, booking agents here realize, if they make a mistake, it will be on the net quick. Therefore, they try a little harder. I have no horse in this race, except to sign up for hunts for my partner and I.

Having been in the booking business since dirt was put on this earth, I feel its my sworn duty to answer questions that someone posts on AR..Sorry if that blows your skirt up Acer...

I can usually book anyone at anytime, anyplace on earth, notice I said usually, I realize I need to give myself some breathing room least some internet jockey try and book a hunt in Northern Pakistan, with Osama B. L. as the PH, just to test my abilities.....and if your inclined to join the armed forces, I can also arrange such a hunt!
