In 2006 I hunted the Selous and Norbert was a fill-in PH for one that took ill and was in the camp with me and my PH. He was a great guy and worked well to get his Arizona client a buffalo. He told me over and over in his Austrian accent, "You will never shoot a croc with a double rifle. Use my .375." When I got my croc with my .450-400 double I returned to camp early, put the croc (13 feet) outside of Norbert's tent and turned all the lights out in camp. When Norbert returned I told him the generator was out. He felt his way to his tent in the dark and everyone in camp laughed for minutes at his scream. It was great fun and I have it on video!
Norbert has been working for Luke Samaras and I see him at the SCI conventions in Reno. At times he emails me a greeting. I would give him a very good recommendation and would hunt with him without hesitation.
