GAHUNTERTBBCs in .375 for Buffalo?
I don't recall seeing many folks talk about the Trophy Bonded Bear Claw bullets for buffalo. I'm thinking about taking one of my.375s to Zim as a backup DG rifle. One, in particular, likes the .300-grain Federal Premium TBBC factory loads.
If all the articles are to be believed (they're written in a MAGAZINE, so they have to be true -- right?), TBBCs are just as much a super bullet as the A-Frames and Fail Safes.
I await your words of wisdom on this matter.
I've used the 300 Gr. TBBC a bit, and i prefer them to A-Frames. My rifle was used to shoot a Buff with one, but poor placement required followup. The bullet performed perfectly. The Plains game I've used it on all died in their tracks.

D. NelsonGAHunter;
I've used TBBC .300 gr in my .375 on Buff and elephant with great success. I won't use anything else for now!

I have used a 375 with TBBC bullets quite a bit in Africa. Those bullets we recovered were perfect with near total weight retention. I have only used 458 TBBC bullets on Buffalo but they were magic. When I buy a rifle, if it will not shoot TBBC bullets it goes down the road.

TerryRI've used TBBC in 375 with great success. I will continue to use them whenever I use my 375.

I did a whole 28 day Tanzanian safari with just a 375. With the exception of a did-dik that I shot with a solid everything else fell to the Federal factory loads with the 300gr. TBBC. It worked as well on the Tomson's gazelle as the monster eland. I'm basically a reloader but I would be comfortable with that load anywhere anytime.

Mark

GeronomoI've used TBBC bullets in several calibers, from 7mm mag to.458 WM on perhaps 30 head of game ranging from duiker to brown bear and cape buffalo. All recovered bullets were perfectly mushroomed like the ones in the ads. All recovered bullets had greater than 90% weight retention. I used them exclusively until the Barnes Triple Shocks came out.
