reddy375Anyone want to guess the size of this Nyala
PH Richard Kok, just sent me this picture of an amazing Nyala he recently took with a client.
They have been taking some outstanding trophies this year.
There are still some hunts available at discounted rates for 2021 as I posted in the Hunts for sale section. Or book for 2022.
Thanks for your time.

reddy375It measured 32.5".
They truly shoot some amazing trophies every year and have great hunting areas all over Mozambique. I have posted a Special for 2021 for anyone who can make it happen this year!

It measured 32.5".
It seems my guesstimate of 33" Right & 31" Left wasn't too far off the mark.
What were the respective lengths of the horns?

Michael RobinsonBeautiful animal! Is it true that Mozambique is the only place we can hunt the nyala free range in their native land and habitat?
I have not hunted where they were on license.

DaleA few years ago I did a free range nyala hunt with Ian Blakeway. We were northwest of Durban, South Africa about 30 or 40 miles. I was able to get a 28 inch nyala.

There should still be free range nyala in SE Zimbabwe, in places like Nuanetzi.
As Dale said Natal has free range areas in the mountains that are not fenced. Trevor Lake Safaris used to get some monsters there. I presume he still does.

Yes, Trevor Lake finds some good one's. Watched a dandy one day about 450 yards out. I have taken 3 with Trevor a 28 1/2 and 2 X 29 1/2.

300SAKOI hunted in SA with Crusader Safaris in 2017. We hunted their Umkomaas area which is in Natal. I took a 29" Nyala day one and saw at least two more that PH said would go 30". Saw many nice Nyala on that trip. All free range. I probably should have taken another, but it was my first trip over and I wanted to hold out for Kudu. Got a nice Kudu as well, also free range. Would like to go back.
