I might have a chance to get a Fibermark in .375 H&H but have had to experience with these rifles. I hear they are freebored pretty good. Any info appreciated..tia...Axter

Weatherby freebores their rifles chambered fro Weatherby cartridges. I don't believe they free bore for the conventional cartridges.

How do they compare?? Are they worth the price? Are they worthy?? Just looking for a good gun at a resonable price. Or for the money should I just go custom??

I bought one when the first of the Made in USA Wbys came to Australia. The one I had was the stainless Synthetic.

From a personal point of view Wby rifles and 375 H&Hs just don't go together. I can't remember if Wby offered the 375 in the Made in Japan rifles but if they did then to me a Made in Japan Wby and a 375 H&H just don't go together.

Having said that the one I had was very accurate...I bedded and free floated it. It was typical of Wbys in that feeding was super reliable. The magazine box is much longer than either the Rem 700 or Model 70. After having owned many 375s and in all the common brands I would say that this Wby was the best overall. If the lawyer proof trigger return spring is replaces then the trigger was typical Wby, that is, can be adjust down to a reliable 1 pound and back up again wihtout taking the rifle apart. Although if you are not use to playing about with guns you would need a gunsmith to remove the trigger and fit a new spring.

I only bought mine because the shop had one and I wanted to try a 375 H&H in a Wby. Mine was sold after a month or so because I just had no lasting interest in a 375 H&H in a Wby rifle.

In short, remove personal prejudice and they are very good 375s

Axter: I do not know about Weatherbys in .375 H&H, but I do own three Weatherbys and they are very accurate, tough, and reliable rifles. My favorite rifle is a .378 that I have had for years now and that rifle has had a lot of use (and some abuse) in tough conditions. The Fibermark is a good model, and I bet you will be very happy with that rifle in .375 H&H.

I own a .375H&H in a Weatherby EuroSport rifle. It's not the FiberMark, but it is still the Mark V frame. I've had it about three years, and shoot it a lot. Most of the shooting has been off the bench, and I've only taken two animals with it while hunting. I have no complaints. The rifle has performed flawlessly, and the accuracy has been very good.

I love my 378 Dangerous Game Rifle with open sights. Never had a problem with it. I will use in on cape buff in ZIM next year..
