BwanamichThe one that got away
Received this picture from a PH friend of a buff they "couldn't" shoot as they had already filled their tag by the time they came across this one.
That's the way it goes I guess

NitroXSo what's the estimate of size?
06 November 2006, 19:28
dogcatI doubt I would shoot him. He is obviously a big pussy and weakling - how else would those long horns have lasted - he appears to be lover and not a fighter.
Oh well... At least that is the story I would tell myself.
If I came across that one, I think I would start writing big checks and telling lies to get a shot at that one....

bwanamrmWow, that's the bull that keeps me going back to hunt buffalo again and again! Maybe someday I'll cross paths with a sod like that!

Use Enough GunOutstanding buff, and one picture that makes you WANT to go back. I couldn't use it as a screensaver as I wouldn't get anything done at the office!

577NitroExpressIsn't it a good rule of thumb that a Buff's ears are, on average, 32" apart?
If that's true, maybe this boy is 46" to 48"?

Michael RobinsonAgreed. Looks like at least a four foot buff to me.
I'd be tempted to buy an extra seven day license for that one!
Wow!

That is just the story that your PH friend told the client.

I bet he was back there in the same area ASAP after guiding his client to see if he could get that beauty for himself!

One of the rules of good PH-ing: Don't shoot a better trophy than you got the client in front of the client! Not good manners at all!
It is that type of buffalo that will keep me wanting to go back, untill one day,,,,,,,,

In good hunting.
