Big elephant taken in Zimbabwe
I would say that more people need to post pictures of successful hunts. Make it common. Not only that but post pics of what happens to an elephant after it is shot. Take pics of the village coming out to get the meat. The comments on that article are rooted in ignorance. We are not going to change their minds.

Some of us can't cast back to before cellphones and social media. One of the things I enjoy about being in the bush is that you can get away from such crap for a few days or weeks.

I have as much fun on FB as anyone, but what did hunters do before FB and Instagram? Did they die if they couldn't post photos on the 'Net?

All true. The net, particularly this forum is what got me over the hump and to Africa. Reading stories, looking at photos and communicating with other hunters is what got me past just looking at magazines and thinking that it was just for other people.
In those days posting a hunting picture wasn’t so much like carpet bombing as it is with social media.
To be honest, I don’t understand social media and don’t participate, but it has been a game changer.
