Kudu horns wanted

Kudu horns wanted
I like to make these things out of them.....at least the ones that are too small to put on the wall. They are salt and pepper shakers and these are capped with zebra wood but I'd like a set in ebony and cocobolo as well. The fittings are 303 stainless that I turn on the engine lathe and drill holes on the milling machine.

I got these pieces of horn from my PH as someone shot a "too small" set of horns to bring home and he sent them in the trophys I had shipped here.

Is anyone going to Africa that can get an extra set of horns back here.....I'd really appreciate pieces of horn to do this with.

I do have a set of tiny little baby kudu horns I'll give you for shipping if you want them.

These are a set of 31" kudu horns that "GREATER KAROO TAXADERMY" in Graff Reinet, South Africa sent me in place of a set of 47" horns (my first ever archery kill) they were supposed to send me.

I STRONGLY suggest you by-pass any African taxidermy because when they SCREW you (and they surely will) you've got no recourse WHAT SO EVER! Live and learn. Wink

there is one photo.....nickudu cleaned up the entire post for me and reposted the photo

Yep there are usually a bunch on ebay and they are pretty cheap, but free would be hard to beat.

WOW...I now have four Kudu horns and didn't have to fill the tank doing it.

Surestrike...next time I'm in the area I'll stop and say hi...My kid lives just north of you.
