Marauding hyenas kill two in Mbulu

Two persons, Joseph Duru (41) a resident of Bargish- Uwa and Gidosa Hilonga (64) a resident of Waama in Mbulu district have been killed by Hyenas while on their way to work in the early morning July 18.
Confirming the incidence, the Manyara Regional Police Commander, (RPC) Permena Sumary the Arusha Times that Dura was going to a local hotel dubbed Zurich Hotel where he was employed as a cook. The other victim, Hilonga, was going to sell milk in Mbulu town. The grisly incident occurred at 5 pm
The RPC said the Hyenas also seriously injured three other people: Doxo Niima (44) a peasant of Waama, Nichoous Sule (21) a Secondary school student and Bahary Kahema (30) a Waama village chicken seller.
Hilonga had succeeded to raise alarm for help but died of excessive loss of blood as he was being rushed to Mbulu district hospital. The wounded persons were admitted in Mbulu hospital where Kahema is said to be in very poor condition.
The people succeeded to kill one of Hyenas while the other escaped to the bushes.
