Aspen Hill AdventuresAnother Mopane GIANT and Some Nice Kudu
Dave Hulme's thread got buried so I am taking the liberty to post this big Mopane for my Namibian Outfitter Johann Veldsman.
Stats on this old warrior:
It lives on the banks of the Huab River in Namibia and though leafless in these photos is quite alive. This tree was on this farm 150 years ago when first found and was a giant then. It's circumference is 17 feet in diameter.
Johann's two and a half year old daughter Zoe is standing in front of the trunk. I think the base resembles an elephant's foot.
We are seeing lots of kudu (40 plus per day of trophy size) on the property with some truly nice ones which are of course available for those of you looking for a great plains game hunt in 2008 and beyond. Contact me!
