K EvansContact Andy Cool at Explorer Sat, he can hook you up with a BGAN unit that works like a charm, we used one at Chete last trip and it worked perfectly for email and includes a sat phone as well.

tendramsIf people know they cannot send you long emails, you can send and receive SMSs directly from the Motorola headsets. Maybe just forward your work email to your Iridium SMS email address. I have done this before and it worked out fine. If you want to receive longer emails or to do a lot of typing, things get more complicated.
That said, and I understand this is not always practical, I would much rather delegate some responsibility at work and enjoy my hunt without interruption.

One cannot cure:Stupidity – nothing helps! Anti hunting sentiments – nothing helps! Put-‘n-Take Outfitters – money rules!

tendrams,
A fellow in Masailand has been trying to send and SMS to my cell phone from his Motorola Sat phone and I do not get them. Can you tell me why?

tendramsIs he a sat phone rookie? Here is a link to the procedure.
http://www.humanedgetech.com/m..._and_iridium_sms.htmIt is a bit easier for him to reply to one you send him. Email him at 8816whatever@msg.iridium.com. Then tell him to reply back but to NOT delete your email address that comes up at the beginning of his reply window when he does. This can and likely is messing up his attempts.
Hope this helps.
