Bob in TXAfrica in Black & White
I took one camera with me to Namibia just to take some black & white photos.
Here is Sarge, one of my hunting buddies, doing his best Teddy Roosevelt impression.
The termite mound.
My kudu.
My zebra.
The view from our hut.
My hunt report is in the hunt report forum.
Good Hunting,
Bob

PaladinThere's a certain sense of "Class" to black and white photography that isn't equalled even by the best color shots.
Nice work

eyedocGreat photos BOB.As you know, my little brother is at Makalaan right now.He is taking some nice animals, a very good kudu I am told.He often shoots some black and white, and after seeing your photos I hope he will do it on this trip.
We seldom get to choose
But I've seen them go both ways
And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory
Than to slowly rot away!

Bob in TXThanks y'all!
eyedoc,
I got an e-mail from Antonie and he said the hunt is going very well. Your feedback and help is one of the reasons I hunted with Makalaan. It was a great decision.
Thanks,
Bob

SBTI'm with Paladin. Those B&W's show a lot of class.

GeorgeSNice going, Bob.
Try using a sepia effect on them.
It give photos a bit of the 'Selous' effect.

Bob in TXHey George,
I just learned how to do the sepia effect...and how to change color to black & white. I am going to make the jump into this century and go digital. Next time, I won't have to take two cameras. When is the "Greek Posse" going to come out/down to Texas again for a hunt??

GeorgeSBob,
After the last fiasco, I don't think you'll be seeing the 'Greek posse' down there anytime soon.

On my Safari to RSA I took a Digital and a SLR shooting Film. I think it was one of the best decisions I made. I have the photo album from the print pictures. And then I have Digitals to e-mail to people. If one camera gets broken also, You have a back up. Printing out Digital Pictures might work for you, but Film still has better quality when printed. Just something to consider.
