ManyatheloZambia Wingshooting
What does Zambia have to offer in terms of wingshooting? On both private land and in GMA's
Does anyone run pointers on the Francolin species?
Can anyone recommend any outfitters that could conduct wingshooting safaris?

Black LechweThe best areas in Zambia for francolins and guineafowl are in the south- around the Kafue Valley, farms near Mazabuka, Lusaka etc. Basically all drier areas with more seed-grass and weeds.
The majority of the country is miombo, which has sour grasses with little (edible) seed. There are a few francolins and guineas around in this habitat, but at very low densities probably not worth hunting.
Zambia is blessed with wetlands and many species of waterfowl. There are heavy offtakes of waterfowl by locals though, usually for commercial gain so anything with feathers is not safe...
