10generationThe Hunting Report
See it come up from time to time in web searches, does anyone subscribe - is it a useful resource? Given the costs of safaris, seems like a small investment for more knowledge.

bwanamrmI am also a subscriber and have been since waaaay back when Don Causey owned it. Barbara Crown has made the publication even better. Good info for the international hunter. Much of the breaking news that crops up here comes from the Hunting Report email extras. I find the Hunt Report database useful in researching outfitters. Another tool for checking who I am contemplating hunting with and who the bad guys are out there...
One bad trip avoided pays for many years of the service.

BuffNutI've been a subscriber for many years as well and always thought it was a good value. There's quality information in the newsletter and the hunt report database is pretty good.
I preferred the older "E-mail Extra" format, which reported true breaking news and wasn't so laden with advertising. But that's a minor gripe. The Hunting Report is a solid publication and worth the money in my opinion.

crbutlerI also subscribe.
I think its worthwhile, but I also have some issues with the level of advertising and worry about objectivity as it relates to those outfits.
The hunt reports are useful, although not as detailed as here.
It does get used at times as an attempt to air grievances.
