I hunted with Kalahari Hunting Safaris in 2005. The experience was less than ideal. We spent a lot of time fixing fence, fixing irritation and usually didn't start hunting until 9 am. <BR><BR>Then I got burned by the trophy expediter coming into Europe (where I lived at the time, no trophies were ever shipped). Of course Tony Da'Costa claimed he was on retirement.<BR><BR>So I aim to be much better informed in 2016.Where would you hunt again in 2016? I've hunted 4 or 5 times with Mike Kibble of Progress Safaris......you always take outstanding trophies with him.

On one hunt, I took 59" and 56" kudu bulls and an oryx bull of 40" and an Oryx cow at 43"

I have to laugh at the comment "isn't he expensive?" right after a lament about how you got screwed last time. That's precisely what I tell my clients. Yes, I'm expensive. And worth it.

I hunted with with Sebra & Westfalen in 1999. Aagrob in 2010 with horses which isn't seen much in namibia.I liked them all,you couldn't go wrong with either of them.

I don't actually know anyone who has hunted with him. His safaris have always been described to me as really expensive. I know about 20 years ago I requested his prices and found he was four to five times the average daily rate.

I don't know who he has hunted with or who he hasn't. That's not the point and I wouldn't pay more for someone simply because he had hunted with the King of England.

If you think Robin is high compared to his competition, tell him and ask him why. I love that question from potential clients. It gives me a chance to explain exactly why my price is, or at least may seem at first blush, above that of the competition without having to badmouth anyone.

You might be surprised. He may actually be cheaper in the long run.

You might be expensive because you are good. You might be expensive because you are a hell of a salesman.

At the time Kalahari Hunting Safaris were not the cheapest. I booked in June to go to Namibia in August, they were available and I could afford it. Cabelas and Safari Outfitters didn't have any openings for August. I was deployed to Iraq at the time I booked, and it was hard enough for me to get a hold of DaCosta to book let a lone do any real research.

I would put all my faith (and money) in any of these three outfits to have a fantastic trip of a lifetime. Corne, Lvyk, Pieter, Uys, Louis are all top-notch Namibian PH's.

Hunted with Keerweder Safaris in 2012 would go back in a heart beat. So far one of the best operations I've ever hunted with.

I'll give another vote to Jan and the Sebra Safari crew.
