xgruntAfrican poison ivy
Are there any plants in the Selous region which should be avoided as we do our domestic poison ivy?
Thanks

bwanamrmMake sure your PH points out any "buffalo beans" which are not related to poison ivy but burn and itch like hell if you get into them. Usually found around river beds...
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Not to nasty but bad enough to avoid, the other common use for this critter is as an aphrodisiac for both women and men.... I guess it gives an itch that needs to be scratched
There is reason enough to avoid it in the bush when its just you and a couple of hairy legged guys in darkest Africa!
