I just returned from our Moz. trip, and I know there were a lot of AR member waiting to get a report on what I found there.

Let me start by saying it was a hectic trip. We drove about 7500km's in 9 days (driving time). The reason for the trip was to go on a recce of the huge Maua concession of Mozambique unlimited Safaris in the Niassa province of Mozambique.

There was a lot politics that had to be waded through as the principal of the company, Mr. Terry Cundiff from Kentucky USA, introduced us to all the officials, from the governor of the province to the district commissioner of Maua to the respective Chef de Post's and village chiefs.

We at last got through all that and managed to get out into the bush, for what it was worth. The bush is very thick and wet now, and a lot was unaccessable.

Between the three of us (PH's) with our different crews, we did manage to find very good sign of Sable, Lion, Leopard, Bushpig and Warthog, Bushbuck, Reedbuck, Waterbuck, and of course Elephantes!

I will work as a PH for Mozambique unlimited Safaris from August this year untill 22 October, while Frederik and Gerhard will be looking after Infinito Safaris in South Africa. We are confident that our close relationship with Moz. Unlimited Safaris will give our Infinito clients access to some of the best DG hunting left in Africa.

Our step in this direction was carefuly contemplated over the last two years, and prompted because of the fact that we cannot realy offer our clients DG without fences in SA, as silly as we know this might sound.

So, keep a look out for my report on what we do up in Niassa, maybe you find something of interest.

I will also report on some of the problem animals I have to shoot for the government, as we have been given this task by the governor of the province.

It is a pitty we are not allowed to sell PAC hunts in Moz, but that is the law.

thanks for the info/update. Looking forward to the hunt there with you folks. Just finished with my last airline reservation/flight purchase, let Frederik know if you have the chance and once i hear from him I'll send email flight details to him of course for smooth airport pickup.
