That song is called "Mbube". It was first recorded by its writer, Solomon Linda, and his group, The Evening Birds, in the 1930s.

It had a resurgence in the 50s with lyrics added as "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" recorded by The Kingston Trio.

Recently, Linda's heirs sued Disney for royalties from use of the song in "The Lion King." I believe a settlement was reached.

It sure sounds like "The lion sleeps tonight". That would really give an "African" sound to a video. Brings back memories of my first safari, we were all singing "the lion sleeps tonight" on our drive to the airport going home. The trackers were laughing like crazy! clap
