Better than we were recently but not as good as we used to be some years ago.
Yep, still case by case which is probably a good outcome for the time being. However, as George pointed out, there is still a lot of discretion in the picture.
Hunters are going to need to pay a lot of attention to where they are hunting, who they are hunting with and if other hunters to the area have been successful in their application.

Tim FerrallAnd in the meantime, the bontebok that I took in South Africa nearly a year ago is still at the taxidermist there. With the possibility of California SB 1487 being passed and in effect on Jan 1, 2019, I may never have the opportunity to possess what is legally mine, unless FWS approves the import permit in time for the shipment to get to me by year end.
