airtoadNewbie Buffalo Hunt
Has anyone any feed back or reviews of Biggamehuntingadventures. They are offering cow hunts for about 4300 USD???
Thanks in advance.

Bill CI have no knowledge of this Booking Agency (Wash State based), nor the Outfitter in South Africa they are representing. But, per their website, they paint the picture of an "authentic" buffalo hunting experience at a reasonable/low price. It is intriguing that the website says that these are not "introduced" buffalo.
http://biggamehuntingadventure...hunting-south-africaCow hunts in general can be fun, especially when looking for an old cow past breeding age. They are usually in herds and very alert with many eyes. This said, if you were considering the buff cow hunt, you might want to think about the mgmt bull hunt listed under specials for not much more, if they would make available to you.
I would ask for references on the Outfitter, and the two PH's listed. Also the size and terrain of the two areas they note. Perhaps some of our SA members can comment.

Brian CanadaI just got back from a Buffalo cow hunt there.
Three cows with one bullet each, from my single shot .577 NE using hard cast bullets.
The Ph's are Kok and Seyfert. The farm is called Buffalo Land Safaris and is located south of Hoedspruit.
Seyfert was not there for the hunt but was in camp on the first and last night of the hunt.
I hunted with Kobus Kok and a PH from Buffalo Land Safaris, Louis Jacobs. Kobus and Louis were both the best guys you could ever ask for as PH's and companions in the bush on a DG hunt. ( I have hunted in Africa six times.)
I liked the manager and the staff of the farm.
If you google Buffalo Land Safaris you will see their three areas. We hunted on Giraff Camp which is two thousand acres of beautiful Low Veld land, with no cross fencing, through which the Klaserie River meanders.
Buffalo Land Safaris is a wonderful place.
I want to go back but will not be booking through Big Game Hunting Adventures or Kok and Seyfert.
( Do yourself a favour. PM for a heads-up on this.) I will book straight through Buffalo Land Safaris.
The area was terribly dry like most of South Africa. Animals have been dying by the hundreds, I was told, in the Low Veld and Kruger Park. Until last week they have not had any significant rain for a year. The Buffalo are real bone racks and the Wildebeests look like bicycles. As you probably know farmers and parks have had to feed to keep animals alive.
Another place worth looking into is just north of Hoesdspruit called Spear Safaris. They may have some discount hunts on buffalo.
Ernest Dyson seems like a decent guy but I have not hunted at Spears.
That Low Veld country is beautiful.

Venture SouthJan Dumon is the man to speak to if you want to hunt that area.
He has great areas and will offer you a true hunting experience as he has access to one of the best Buff areas in SA.
Speak to him before you book somewhere else.
Good luck
Ian

Russ GouldTheir bull buff hunts are actually overpriced by SA standards. I just did a buff hunt with 2 clients on 8000 acres, all buffalo born on property (it was stocked 16 years ago, buffalo live to 15 max), plenty of bulls to choose from. We paid $7500 each incl. 4 days.
If this outfit is in any way related to the publication "Big Game Adventures" I would check them out very carefully.
