The German company NICKEL-AG make a 1.5-6x30Magnum that would be ideal.

wombatmine wears the traditional 1.5-5 Leupold.VX-111.
Very robust.
Australia
I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of drought and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror
The wide brown land for me!

Another consideration is the long eye-piece of some brand of scopes. Those are just begging to give you smileys on a forehead, especially for guys like me that crawl the stock.
Leupold 1.5-5X. It's the gold standard and nothing has changed that.
Agree...

Heym 450/400If you decide to go with the Swarovski Z1-6 24 make sure you check out the EE version which I believe stands for extended eye relief. Another option to look at is the rail mount version. I have one of these and I like it a lot better than traditional ring mounted scopes

rigsI have a Baush & Lomb Elite 4200 1.5X6 on my 416 Rigby and have been very pleased with it.

Elton RambinOn my .416 Rigby there sits an old Weaver V-3 straight tube 1x3 DG rated. This one is no longer made and has never failed from elephant to croc. Mount and QR rings are Leupold and back up is a ghost ring XSSights that can be attached in a few moments. In the event scope is damaged I carry a second V-3. Not an expensive set up but rugged and reliable. There is some real merit in application of the ghost rings.

I have exactly the same combo on my .416 Rigby also the CZ action, the only thing I don't like is the heavy duplex, I want to change it to the standard
