Zawa Warns of Lions At Chilanga Cement Quarry

THE Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA) has announced the sighting of three lions at the Chilanga Cement quarry in Chilanga.

ZAWA public relations officer Maureen Mwape said in a statement yesterday that the lions had been seen at the quarry on Monday night by Chilanga Cement security officers.


Mwape said though there had been no loss of life, either human or livestock, the authority had deployed officers to control the situation, but advised residents against moving on foot at night until the situation normalised.

ZAWA is yet to establish the protected area the lions came from.

Just lookin for an easy meal that's all they're doin. Can't blame them for that.
