Bill/OregonCape buffalo in Namibia
I know most of the hunting for buff is in the Caprivi Strip. But what is the natural history of buffalo in Namibia? Were they cleared out of large areas of the country (along with a lot of the cats) by ranchers and settlers? Rinderpest? Could they be restored to more areas of Namibia if the people of Namibia so desired?
Johann? Carl? Somebody?

Jorge400I'm by no means an expert, but I think Namibia is far too arid to have supported cape buffalo outside of the Caprivi and Caprivi Strip historically.
