IndiJamie was a fighter and and en excellent Ph.
This is from an email from Colleen Begg. As Many of you knew him I thought it appropriate to post on this group.
I have just heard the terrible sad news from Eveline that Jamie Wilson passed away at 0730 this morning. He was with Eveline in Europe seeking treatment. Jamie has been part of Niassa Reserve for longer than any of us, and was deeply passionate about the bush, conservation and this place. I think he first came here in 1998 (or before) and we and so many of you have many memories of him in Niassa in L7, L9, L5N and finally R3. We sometimes had differences of opinion but we always knew we could share a beer with him and could call on him for help if need be especially for the many years when he was the only person with a plane here. He was part of Niassa and will be
See you Jamie

nickhDamn,
Condolences to his family.
I had been conversing with him by email over the last few weeks.
the treatments he was having sounded promising.
We conversed at length about big elephant and buff/ in Niassa.
some photos he sent me of huge tuskers he took with clients were breathtaking.
100lbers were there not so long ago……..
The trophy photos of him and these giants are a piece of Niassa history indeed.
A big loss to the Hunting scene in Moz.
I will raise my glass and smoke a cigar around our Niassa campfire in a few weeks time in L7
in honour of Jamie and his pioneering of much of the reserve.
