James ScottHave not been to Rio buffet in years, heard it has gone down hill. FWIW-- either Wynn or Belliago buffet are best bets from my experiences. Have heard that the new buffet at Ceaser's is worth it also.

GillettehunterThe Rio buffet is OK. A little pricey for what you get. Usually some discount coupons if you look for them. If you like Thai food then you might try Lotus of Siam. Has been rated as one of the best Thai restaurants in the USA. Off strip. Get a reservation. I'll go while I'm there. bruce

Dog ManWe ate with friends at Carnevino Italian Steakhouse last year. Spendy, but very good.

724wdThe Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars is very good. It's not cheap, and if you're not a premium member, the line can be LONG.

Use Enough GunThey used to have two different buffets at the Rio; one the regular buffet and then in a totally different area, the seafood buffet. The seafood buffet was about double the price of the regular buffet and a long line formed in the late afternoon for its opening. I haven't been to either for quite a while, so I don't know, but the seafood buffet was very good the last time that I was there.

PoyntmanThere are many many great restaurants.
Joe's Stonecrab is excellent, yes. It's the highest grossing restaurant i think in the U.S.
Ive been to the original many times.
Look on Open Table and there's every type of list and rating you could want

Pa.Frankabout 10 years ago, i used to have to go to LV twice a month for work. (you get over it fast)
but I did make it a point to hit the RIO seafood buffet at least once every trip. I'm easy to please though, because all I ever ate was the raw oysters and lobster..
It's pricy, but remember, it isn't exactly "on the dock" either... all that stuff has to be flown or trucked in.
I'd recommend it.. But suggest you plan to get there about 15 min or more before it opens for dinner or you will be waiting a while.. it's pretty popular.
And the Rio does have a good free casino floor show....
