Saw the report last night on TV - was looking fairly positive, but a pity that they took a shoulder shot rather than a brain shot (from the perspective of a mainstream media news broadcast to a largely non-hunting audience).

shakariThe whole news story itself was indeed quite well balanced & positive & I think can probably be viewed on Sky News International catch up but by this morning the news studio were confusing hunting with poaching & poaching with anti-poaching & had also got Rodrigues to respond in his own inimitable twisted style & they were going at it like a pack of hyenas on an old kill.
No doubt the fidiot uninformed public will be squealing like stuck pigs for a while.

Opus1It is a shame that they don't actually dive into the numbers and economics of "providing jobs, work, wealth and food." It is the same tired line that we see used over and over but without the facts, it is a hollow statement.
How many jobs?
How much food?
How many is your trophy fee supporting in the community?
Where does the money go?
Few seem to know the answers...

DLSGood video, other than not killing the bull right there with one shot. Coverage seemed pretty fair but I'm sure the anti crowd will shriek like stuck pigs.
