Before you die...
Before you die...if you could hunt only one more animal, what would it be?

For me, it would be the Cape Buffalo (aka Mbogo, Nyati, Black Death) - and he and I have a rendezvous next year.

It would be a toss up between bongo and mountain nyala.

I would also place cape buffalo as my animal. Although...an Alaskan brown bear is another on my list.

#1 A 100 pound elephant, in thick bush!

#2 A good Lion In thick bush, on tracks

#3 A good Leopard on Bait

I've hunted Buffalo and Hippo to the extent I have neglected those 3! Going on my 73rd year, I can't see getting them at this point! Fellows do it while you can, time flies! CRYBABY

I've taken all of the above except for bongo, mountain nyala, elephant and brown bear. Bears don't interest me, and I am no longer physically capable of what it takes to hunt mountain nyala or bongo, so it would have to be an elephant in an area where I don't have to walk far or climb mountains. The size of tusks (if any) makes no difference to me. I'm past the age of measuring my trophies with tape measures and scales.

My first thoughts were one of the big five, but on reflection, no, it must be an animal which can be eaten.

Hard to decide on one; I've still got a pretty long list. Don't think I could choose something I haven't before under that limitation, however. So I would say buffalo. The one that I haven't hunted before would be elephant.

Kodiak bear would be number 1, and I did that. The Lion would be number 2, and I did that also. Next would have to be a Polar bear.

Right now it is lion, and I am hunting one next July. After that it will be elephant, and after that I don't know. Maybe brown bear.

Difficult question. I have it worked down to three. But if I have to pick one and an African beast, I'll have to choose leopard.
