Our friend Ray Atkinson is feeling under the weather today. I just spoke to him and even though long in the tooth (read old man of Africa) He is no 100 pounder. Hope he gets to feeling better soon.

If you die Ray, can I have all your unfired 404 Jeffery brass?
Don't worry, I won't let RIP bring a stainless and plastic rifle for the big bore 21 gun salute at the funeral.

Ray,

If it makes you feel any better, I also have a late winter cold. They seem to be the worst of their kind. And I'm getting tired of it, but hope you beat me to feeling better.

Jeez guys, all I had was a cold, I'm still kicking..but I have to tell you that Lb404 did catch me in a week moment and my gun whore self weakened in my poor condition, and he aquired his good wife Sue a really nice 10.75x68 Hoffman and all the components, which I am still having chillbains and high fever over..but for a nice lady like Sue its OK, it will be something she can shoot and enjoy...Now for the Jose Cuervo, always good when one has to part with a good friend... beer

Ray,

I was really feeling bad about your "condition" as I was scrolling through the earlier posts. Now that I've seen you respond to your fans in your "old-self" style, I feel better.

Good health to you and continue the sage advice on African hunting.

Glad you're feeling better, Mr. Atkinson.

A bit of a long time joke between my wife and I is if we should ever get lucky enough to win the lottery I would take half, call Ray Atkinson & Sons, tell you to book on my behalf a trip to Africa and that I want one of everything!

I know, it's a hell of a long shot, but a man can dream, can't he?
