butchbuckPG Hunting near JNB
a couple buddies and I want to do a PG safari in 2014. we are researching operators within driving distance of the airport in joburg ( no more than 4 hrs). in the past we have flown into jnb then connected onto wdh, port eliz etc. it seems to us that finding the right operator who picks up and drops off at OR Tambo may save us a little wear and tear and maybe even a buck or 2. any suggestions re who to contact?

hughmanMy wife and I took our first safari trip to Africa in 2009. We went to Kolobe Safaris and had a great time; great hunting, good food and good friends.
They have a web site, or you can PM me for more info.

Hello,
I've hunted with Chris Troskie in Lephalale which is 3 1/2 hours from the JB Airport. He typically meets hunters at the Airport and provides the transport when hunting in Limpopo. (CT Safaris).

Mad DogHere's who we hunted with in 2008. They are about 3 1/2 hrs. north of Joberg. Depending on when your flight gets in, you either overnite and they will pick you up, and they drop you off at the airport. Very reasonable packages.

Yes, I started hunting in the Eastern Cape and then "progressed" to a "higher level" which saw me ending up in the North.

infinitoSir,
We are based about 1,5 hours drive from the airport.
We have hunted with more than 15 AR members, including some from Sweden and Denmark, and references are available on request.
Good trophies, quality hunting and a great funtime around the campfire will NOT leave you dissapointed.
Looking forward to be hearing from you!
Kindest Regards,
