Why are there bigger cape buffalo in the masiland vs the selous?

I have not hunted the Selous but I have hunted Masailand. When I was deciding on an area I researched them both and it seems like, on average, the better heads come from Masailand. Which areas specifically are you looking at?

Im just asking the question why are they bigger in the masiland then the selous
