Looks to me they are NOT the same lion...
There are indeed distinctive scratches in several areas that DO NOT match with even a relatively close look.
One that sticks out to me are two distinctive scratches on the Right eye of the pride male that are clearly not there on the hunted Lion
And two on the forehead of the hunted Lion...nor do the ones on the Nose line up...
