BlankThere was a really big fish eagle on the lake at Erindi while we were there, but it looked much more dark and the beak and talons had more yellow. Almost like a mature bald eagle.
Is this a sea eagle?????

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......
"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

GaryLWhat great photos! Even at internet resolutions, they are top drawer. Talent is evident and maybe with work I can develop some, but what camera and lenses were used?

TheBigGuyThank you Alf for starting this thread. I love the little stuff!
One of the most attractive things to me to do confined to a waterhole blind while bowhunting is photographing the "little" stuff. First thing I do in a blind is setup the camera on a tripod. It's a fabulous way to spend the time in a blind. The day zips by and you simply do not get bored.
These Oxpeckers were hanging out on a Kudu Cow's neck.
I don't know what kind of bird this is, he hung around for quite a while and I couldn't resist a photo op of him preening. I don't remember the name if the PH told me. Anyone know?
I'm particularly fond of herps (reptiles/amphibians) this guy provided me with the only herp picture I got in africa. He's some kind of skink I think but I don't know the common name.
This guy was a constant companion in the blind I took my kudu from.
CJW, I really like the mongoose picture.
