Do anybody has an experience with the stock take down rifle? What is good or bad about it?
W#hat is a trade off?

Gator1Are you referring to a rifle where just the stock comes off? Like a Mannlicher? If you are the disadvantage is that you don not save much in length, only the distance from rear of the tang to the butt.
It may be enough to tuck in a bag though.
An advantage over other take downs is that the barrel and action stay together so the rifle will be inherently more accurate when taken apart and put together. You are not taking them apart and putting them together all the time and their is nothing to get worn or loose.
