Rusty,

I must admit I was a little concerned making a posting that would you onto the thread.

Next time I will try and make it less interesting for you as I don't want you reading my postings 3 times.

This is the Australian Prime Minister Balla Balla supports so strongly...and you say lighten up

quote: Radio 2GB Sydney, 17 April 2002.
John Howard:
I hate guns.

I dont think people should have guns unless theyre police or in the military or in the security industry. There is no earthly reason for people to have ordinary citizens should not have weapons. We do not want the American disease imported into Australia."

I think guns have become a blight on American society. We do not have the same gun culture as the Americans and we should strenuously resist any slide into the gun culture of the United States.

Ray,

I have a pair of 378 Wbys that have come via the Wby Custom Shop and they arrived in Australia recently.

HOWEVER, they are still sitting in the gunshop while paperwork issues are being sorted out, paper work issues that are caused by Balla Ballas' beloved Australian Prime Minister.

Do you think if you had two expensive rifles all paid for and you could not collect them due to gun law bullshit, courtesy of Mr Howard, would you react favourably to someone from our region who says Long may John howard rule in Australia, he's the MAN for the job

Timing for Peter's posting in the Political Forum was not good

Alf,

Yes but there is a difference.

Balla Balla is the big praiser of the person responsible for our gun laws.

Do you think Peter would be prepared to go to our rifle range holding up a sign that says..John Howard is the man for Australia, best Prime Minister etc. No way.

On the other hand if someone from Gun Control Australia thinks John Howard is wonderful then that is to be expected and of course can be easily accepted.

Peter,
God bless Rhodesia, the jewel of Africa,
God bless Ian Smith,
God bless all those brave souls who gave their lives for their country.
We people come and go; the land endures.

I notice Balla Balla quickly smoothing it all over here with a bit of joking and 'hard words about politicians' for spice, has deigned not to make a post on the Aus/NZ forum regarding his defence of John Howard....

Loyalties must fade very quickly when one has to save face in front of a pack of good old boys, 'drinking partners' and what-not.

Afraid your own countrymen will not rush to your rescue like the knitting club did here?

A paragon of forthrightness....

Mike,

take some of those little blue pills the doctor gave you on your last visit. You know you are meant to take two everyday.

You taking them will help "Karl's" sanity too.

Hi Karl & Mike 375

Peter here in SOB liberal leaning NZ. Funny that over here we dont seem to have any problem with getting gun licences and importing firearms, what a PARADOX that in Aus you have a center right leaning government that does most things right IMHO but it seems you chaps are having gun licence problems !!!

AS we [ 4 millon kiwis ) are down on IQ over here in NZ due to the 40+ million sheep running around and polluting the lower and upper atmosphere with green house gases I must first aplogise for that.

Now on to the serious business, can you guys tell me [chapter and verse] what the gun issues are in Aus that are causing heartache and whom can we all contact to maybe make a difference, are there any gun rights lobbies or if not whom is it best to get into power to come back to their senses on gun issues OR is it a lost cause !!

You guys are living in GOD'S OWN country and still not happy, most people of the world would if given the opportunity give up their [LEFT BALL] to be living in AUS or even NZ for that case, the refugees are queuing up legally and ILLEGALLY to get in to both countries

Or are you Aussies ( Karl & Mike ) just stirring up the pot and sinking a few tinnies and picking on us poor OLD defenceless imported KIWI'S living in a liberal loony British Colony.

If I remeber right Ian Smith was one of the "Never has so many owed so much to so few" A fighter Pilot with the RAF, during the Battle of Britian. A good steady man. To bad, the country would have been a lot better off than it is now.

Hey Ray, I have a friend that I've known for something like 15 years, not too long for some of you, but considering I am just approaching 28 it is the better part of my life. We have never had a serious argument, and we almost never discuss politics, I don't think that it is a coincidence.

I look at this forum and try to liken it to my house, Gunsmithing I guess would be my living room, where I spend most of my time, African hunting would be like the recliner I guess, where I sit sometimes to read. Politics though is definitely like my toilet, the dirty one that needs to be scrubbed out more often. Personally I only crap in the toilet

MIke and other guy bagging on original poster, go start a thread about it in politics cause you're shitting in my recliner

ALF,

Even if all of us can just walk into a supermarket and buy all the guns and ammo we wish to have, Mike will find something to complain about.

As you can see, he can do absolutely nothing to Howard, so he turns and insults Peter.

That puts both him and the likes of Howard on the same side.

Man you sound exactly like Mike375 at times. You'll have to try for a personality of your own one day.

Lets see an on-topic post from Karl for a change. A photo or two would be nice, maybe even with you in it.

I guess I miss the John (H)howard reference in his post.

Posted elsewhere.

Rusty,

I know you love to keep these type of threads going but I have gotten bored with this one now. Maybe someone will start a 45/70 thread for you to keep feeding.

Nothing has been able to save Nitrox from reading our posts to the letter , every time.

Otherwise how would he know we post 'exactly' alike.

Saeed regards your comments about whinging even if one could buy any gun in my case I think partly true.

If you think of laws(natural or otherwise) as not a stationary ideal but as a ball rolling. We either roll to stagnation or what I equate as a police state, or chaos/anarchy lack of laws.

Most people find the idea of either extreme undesirable so it should be in their best interests to keep the ball rolling back and forth.

We know goverments will keep taking until a very small percentage of the population controls everything.

This is happening even in the mighty US, with a system designed 'not to let it happen'. Well that is what I see anyway.

So what do we do about that?

The same fucking thing the antis do.

We take and we take more off them and never settle for what we got

Problem is in the apathetic state of most average hunters coupled with the compromises made by the comfortable middle class old boys (like those you surround yourself- tut tut very common ) the consensus is to have 'a few drinks' and let it wash over.

Balla Balla, apologies for my late reply as I have been away for a short while.

Does your reply indicate you stand by your comments of support for John Howard?

I was unsure by the lengthy attempt to turn it down other paths.

Or can I assume now such posts are as forthright as you permit yourself to be?

Karl.
